Nhan Ho is a dedicated and accomplished dance professional with over a decade of experience as a performer, choreographer, educator, and mentor. As the founder and Artistic Director of the Nhan Ho Project since 2010, Nhan has created a dynamic platform for artists, fostering professional growth through innovative choreography and interdisciplinary collaboration. His work champions diversity, inclusivity, and community engagement, exploring the complexities of the human experience through bold and emotionally resonant performances. His choreographic style blends modern and urban forms into seamless narratives, captivating audiences at prestigious festivals and venues, including sjDANCEco’s ChoreoProject Awards, the West Wave Dance Festival, and many others across the United States.

Currently, Nhan serves as an Assistant Professor of Dance at Northwestern State University in Louisiana. In this role, he teaches Modern Dance, Dance History, and Choreography while mentoring students on their artistic journeys. His teaching philosophy emphasizes respect for diverse dance traditions, adaptability, and fostering cultural understanding. By encouraging students to find their own artistic voices, Nhan prepares them to navigate the evolving landscape of dance with confidence and creativity.

As a choreographer, Nhan has crafted original works for academic institutions such as Sacramento State University, San Jose State University, Modesto Junior College, and the University of Idaho, as well as professional companies. His dedication to mentorship shines through each project, inspiring dancers to unlock their potential and push their artistic boundaries. In addition to his academic and choreographic pursuits, Nhan is a seasoned performer, having collaborated with distinguished companies like BODYART Dance Company, Sasha Soreff Dance Theatre, and PUSH Dance Company. These experiences inform his multifaceted artistic perspective, enriching his roles as director, producer, and mentor.

Nhan’s commitment to advancing dance education extends beyond the studio. He has presented at the Dance Studies Association (DSA) on blending Limón Technique with Hip Hop, and at the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO), where he will present at the 2024 NDEO National Conference on revitalizing teaching methods and dance programs. His dedication to education and community engagement has been recognized through his leadership roles at organizations such as Step I Dance & Fitness and the Northern California Dance Conservatory, where he contributed to the artistic growth of students and professionals alike.

Holding an MFA in Dance from the University of Arizona, Nhan continues to innovate by combining traditional and contemporary forms. His work with the Nhan Ho Project Movement Choir brings together dancers of all backgrounds to create thought-provoking and collaborative pieces that bridge the gap between the artistic and the personal.

At the core of Nhan’s artistic and educational vision is the belief that dance can transcend cultural boundaries, foster personal growth, and inspire change. Whether directing ensemble performances, leading workshops, or mentoring the next generation of artists, Nhan remains committed to cultivating inclusive spaces where creativity and connection thrive.
